Created in 1992 by experienced Highland Park volunteers, the Highland Park Community Foundation (HPCF) has built a permanent Endowment Fund of over $2.6 million to help maintain and enrich the quality of life for the residents of Highland Park and Highwood. The Foundation supports cultural, social service, educational and environmental programs in our community.
The Foundation’s avowed purpose is to “meet the unmet needs” of the community -- needs that are not met by governmental or other sources. By choosing an Endowment as our primary financial vehicle, the Foundation can serve the community in perpetuity. Our promise to our benefactors is:
Money You Give Here...Works Here...For Generations
Throughout its existence, the HPCF has acted as a fundraising catalyst by encouraging major challenge grants, nurturing new programs and initiating partnerships between organizations to maximize the impact of available public and private funds. As a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, we also provide administration and management services for several individual Affiliated Funds in the memory of loved ones, for the renovation of Jens Jensen Park and to aid victims natural disasters throughout the world.
We encourage all community members to contribute generously to the Highland Park Community Foundation. By supporting the Foundation, you can help to ensure that our city continues to provide extraordinary social services and cultural programs.
